Hi!

I’m Lyndsey.

I am the one behind the lens at Light & Lynds, LLC.

Clearly I love a good pun, or play on words. I’m a natural light photographer, based out of my home state, North Carolina, currently serving the Raleigh area. Most of my experience includes families and children, but I love to dabble in various types of photography. I work with natural light and a documentary-style approach to create beautiful authentic images. Capturing candid moments are my vibe; I strongly believe that your photos should tell a story and spark emotions.

Art has been my passion since I was 5 years old and won my first award for a drawing I did in Kindergarten of my teacher. Ever since then, I’ve loved anything that allows me to channel the creative side of my brain. One consistent part of my art is that I always focused on PEOPLE. Looking back, I now realize that both of my high school AP art concentrations were a study of human emotion, interactions, and complexity. Depicting the beauty of human life was always the driving force behind my drawings and paintings. In college, I got my first DSLR camera. Ironically, the purpose of my camera was to document architectural models and projects I created. When my first baby was born in 2014, I vowed to learn how to actually use my camera. Through the learning process, I fell in love with documentary and portrait photography; the artistic freedom and emotion behind each photo captivated me. Since then, photography became a passion project of mine. Slowly over the years, between motherhood and my work-life, I developed a brand out of this passion and honestly it feels like I’m living a dream.

Here’s my tribe. My people. My world. It consists of my husband, Bradley, our three beautiful children, and our two sweet pups. We love everything related to music, sports, and spend as much time outside as possible. Keep scrolling if you’d like to know a few “fun facts” about my life.     I have a degree in Architecture, a CM-BIM, and 11+ years of construction experience. I love my role in building.

    I spent most of my childhood on a soccer field. I learned I could balance on a ball for 29 minutes & 25 seconds.

    My husband, my kids, and I all have birthdates in the 20's. All of our birthdays fall between January and March.

    My death row meal would be black bean tacos, chips and queso, and a slice of chocolate cake.

    We are die-hard NC State Wolfpack fans (my alma-mater), and Washington Capitals fans (my husband’s home state).

    I have an irrational fear of elevators due to claustrophobia. But I'd gladly ride rollercoasters all day.

    "Friends" and "The Office" are my comfort shows. I can quote most episodes, but still find them hilarious.
